Our Process
Selling your business is a major decision. We understand (from personal experience) that you have put more blood, sweat and tears into your early learning center than anyone else could ever know. That is why we are fully transparent with you throughout our due diligence process. We want you to be comfortable knowing that you are getting a fair price for your life’s work.
We also know that it is important to you that your employees and staff are taken care of. Our interests are aligned with yours on this point; we want operations to continue without missing a beat. Keeping your staff in place is the key to maintaining uninterrupted services to your center’s families. This is as important to us as it is to you.
This is how our typical process works:
Execution of Non-Disclosure Agreement
We know that confidentiality and discretion is of the utmost importance to you. We will maintain your information in the strictest of confidence throughout the entirety of our process.
Due Diligence
We will request and review certain financial and operational data. This review will give us a framework for placing a monetary value on your early learning center.
Reach an Agreement
We will make you an offer based on our evaluation of your financial and operational data received through the due diligence process. Our offer is based on two components: (1) the value of the business; and (2) the value of the real estate. If you do not own the real estate (or are not yet willing to sell it), we will work with you to create a structure that will be mutually beneficial to both you and us.
When we make you an offer, we provide you a detailed explanation of our analysis so that you can understand our logic and the underlying basis of our offer. We welcome your feedback. We believe a good deal is one which leaves both sides happy.
Closing & Transition
When the purchase is finally consummated, we will work with you to announce the transition to both your staff and your parents. We want to assure them that your legacy will continue without missing a beat, and we know that your input on how best to approach this transition is of the utmost importance.
